Rise of Pixels (the “App”, com.riseofpixels.app) is a territory-conquest
strategy game. It has two ways to play, with very different data handling. We show
no ads and use no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs in either mode.
Single-player
Fully offline. No account, no network, no data leaves your device.
Online multiplayer
Optional and requires a free account. Only the data needed to run
accounts, friends and matches is collected.
Single-player (offline)
- Your progress (rank, XP, wins, streak, best scores, campaign stars, achievements,
daily missions, season progress, cosmetics and settings) is saved locally on your
device and is never transmitted anywhere.
- Uninstalling the App, or clearing its data, permanently removes it.
- Optional native niceties (vibration / haptics) run on-device and send nothing.
Online multiplayer (optional, account required)
If you choose to play online, you create an account and we process the minimum needed
to provide the service:
- Account: your email address and password are handled by our authentication
provider (Supabase). Passwords are stored hashed by the provider; we never see
your plaintext password.
- Profile: a username you choose (shown to other players) and a display colour.
- Social graph: friend requests and friendships you create, and battle invites
you send or receive (which include a room code).
- Presence: while you are connected, an “online” status so friends can see you're
available. This is transient and not retained as history.
- Match play: in-match actions are processed in memory by the game server to run
the live match; they are not stored to your profile.
- Technical: like any internet service, our infrastructure providers (Supabase,
Cloudflare) process connection metadata such as IP address to route traffic and prevent
abuse.
How it's used
Solely to operate the game: sign you in, show your friends, deliver invites, and run
matches. We do not sell or share your data, and we do not use it for
advertising or cross-app tracking.
Processors
- Supabase — authentication and database (accounts, profiles, friends, invites).
- Cloudflare — hosting and the real-time match servers.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own security terms.
Your choices & deletion
- You can play the entire single-player game without an account.
- You can remove friends and decline invites at any time in-app.
- To delete your account and associated data (profile, friends, invites),
contact us (below) and we will remove it.
Children
The online mode involves creating an account and interacting with other players by
username and invites (there is no free-form chat). Please use the App in line with the age
rating shown on the store listing and, for children, with a parent's or guardian's consent
where required by local law.
Changes
We may update this policy as features evolve; the “last updated” date reflects the current
version. Material changes affecting online data will be surfaced in the App.
